Let’s Talk!

The Site

There are three related and complementary inspirations for this site:

1. User Experience designers need to be able to effectively explore and articulate ideas that span various disciplines without becoming experts in specialized tools such as 3D modeling, animation and programming. This site serves to catalog those tools and provide designers with resources that can help them communicate their visions.

2. We believe in applying the mantra of ‘appropriate fidelity’ to any design process. With deadlines and budgets increasingly stretched thin, it is important to be able to develop not only a vision for a design, but also determine what level of detail (and hence required resources) is most effective given the goals of the task at hand.

3. The intuitive and easy-to-learn tools described on this site are themselves examples of innovative interaction design. We believe that designers can gain valuable insight into effective (or ineffective!) user experience simply by trying them out.
