Interaction Design

I believe that the scope of Interaction Design should be permitted to expand beyond the screen and engage a users’ environment, their sense of self, and a social context. The following are projects that demonstrate those values.

A concept design that highlights and celebrates this weather observatory’s historical significance by allowing visitors to casually browse over temperature data collected at that location since January 1, 1920.
A solution produced to facilitate the design process for a broadcast media client. A system that enables rapid prototyping of media center interfaces controlled by remote control.
Art direction, exhibit and hardware system design for a multi-user interactive musical device designed to bring players together in a collaborative gaming experience. Six-months of iterative design and user-testing.
A concept design for an events listing publication’s streetside boxes, where low-cost wireless technology is used to transform a pedestrian obstacle into a smart beacon.
An interactive window display where your cigarette smoke renders meaningless a solo dance performance.
A concept design for a consignment vending machine that facilitates the exchange of new and used goods between people in a location- or interest-specific community.
